Scotchgard™ Paint Protection Film (PPF) is a virtually invisible barrier against flying debris, abrasion, and weathering. When applied to your aircraft’s vulnerable areas, such as under fiberglass fairings, or on leading edges of gear legs and tailwheels, PPF acts like armor to guard against screwdriver slips, rock chips, bug etchings, and other debris. Use the film wherever you need protection from scratches or abrasion.
PPF is a great alternative to other tapes on the market that can severely yellow with age. PPF stays clear and strong for years and is easy to remove when it’s time to take it off. Available in 2″, 4″, and 6″ width. All PPF sizes are 6 mil thickness.

I purchased the 4″ wide film for application to the flap area on my plane usually protected by UHMW tape. I followed the instructions and applied it with the 25/75 alcohol solution and a squeegee. I had no problems with the application and I am happy with the result.

Worked as advertised.

It goes on easy, and it doesn’t have the yellow tint like the UMHW tape. I have some of this over bright red paint. You can’t tell if it’s even on, but ran out and put a couple of UMHW strips, and my wife noticed it right away. Doesn’t seem as abrasion resistant as the other tape, but it does its job well.
